Virtual sessions will be hosted in the ASCA Conference App/Conference website.                                                                                     

Logging into the ASCA Conferences App: 

1.   Download the free “ASCA Conferences” app from your phone’s app store and/or access the app on your computer by going to: https://app.ascaconferences.org. This app includes all information regarding the Virtual Conference including the conference agenda, session info, handouts, the livestream information, the evaluation link to evaluate the sessions, instructions for obtaining your CEUs/Contact Hours and so much more.

2.   Open the app and enter the email address used for registration and tap "Continue." If this is your first time using this app, the system will email you a code and ask you to enter it for verification. From there, you will set a new password. If you do not receive the code to your email, be sure to check your spam folder. The email will come from [email protected]. If you still don’t see it, use the "Contact Support" button at the bottom of the page. If you attended ASCA 2022, enter the password you used to create your account then. You can use the "Forgot Password?" feature if you can't remember it. 

3.   Once logged in, you should automatically see the 2023 ASCA Conference. If you attended the 2022 ASCA Conference and are seeing that conference loaded, tap the three horizontal lines in the top right of your screen, and use the "Active Conference" dropdown to select the ASCA 2023 Conference. 

View Your Virtual Sessions:

1.   Once logged into the app, explore the sessions under All Sessions. Set up your agenda by clicking “Add to Agenda” for sessions you’d like to view. To view a session livestream, navigate to the session at the designated time and scroll to the bottom of the session’s detail page.

How do I watch the sessions? 
Download the ASCA Conferences app from your app store and login with the email address you used to register for the conferences. Alternately, access the website version of the app at: https://app.ascaconferences.org/

Click on All Sessions to see the full list of virtual sessions. Click on the session you’re interested in at the scheduled time and you’ll see the livestream. 

How do I watch the sessions on demand after the original livestream date?
If you’re watching sessions after the original livestream time, you’ll navigate to them the same way. Find the session listing in the app, click on it to view the details page and then you will see the video to watch the session. 

Is there chat function?
All sessions have a chat function during the livestream where you can network with other viewers, share resources, etc. However, there isn’t a chat function when watching the sessions on demand after the original livestream airing, and the chat that took place during the live viewing doesn’t save.

Are the sessions closed captioned?
All sessions have AI-generated captioning during the livestream that you can turn on or off. Within two days after the original livestream date, the sessions will have human-generated captioning.

How long do I have to watch the sessions?
Sessions are available for on-demand viewing through Oct. 18, 2023. Please note, the opening general session/Henry Winkler keynote address is ONLY available for live viewing. It will not be available on-demand afterward.

How do I access handouts? 
Virtual conference attendees have access to session handouts for all virtual sessions. You'll find a link on the session detail page.

I downloaded the app, but it’s showing last year’s conference.
Click on the three lines in the upper right-hand corner and select ASCA 2023 under Active Conference. If ASCA 2023 isn’t showing up, then you likely logged in with a different email address than you used when registering. Logout of the app and log back in again with the email address you used to register. 

Can I share the handouts, screenshots or other session material with my co-workers or others?
In a word, no. All intellectual property rights in and to the ASCA Annual Conference and other educational programs ("the Event"), the content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Event are owned by the American School Counselor Association (“ASCA”) and/or the Event sponsors or speakers presenting at the Event. You may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce, any of ASCA’s trademarks and/or any materials distributed at or in connection with the Event for any reason without the prior written permission of ASCA and the presenting speaker. The ASCA Annual Conference is attended for registered conference attendees only, and broadcasting and rebroadcasting any portion is prohibited.
